The Reflection of North Cyprus Events in Azerbaijan Migration Literature
Abstract :
From the beginning of the 1960th problem of the Cyprus Turks, has been in the centre of attention of Turkey community and this has taken important place in the foreign policy of the state. With declaring Cyprus as an independent state (1960), the tragic days of the Turkish population of the island began, they have been put to torture and genocide by Greek community. Neither peace aim mission of United Nations, nor diplomatic efforts of the Turkish government can prevent the aggression of Greek community. Only in July 1974 with persistent demand of people in order to prevent Turkish genocide and put an end to execution, Turkish military contingent were brought to the island and tranquility has been established.In the article, the reflection of those events in Azerbaijan migration literature are considered on the basis of Abay Daghly`s play “Albay” and Alazan Baijan`s poem “Yürü”, both work immortalizing the history of the North Cyprus events are valued as useful source for patriotic upbringing of young generation, and as a literary-artistic pattern of the idea of unity and brotherhood of Turkic people.
