People’s Houses from 1932 to 1951

The aim of this study is to point out the importance of the people’s houses which were established in 1932 and functionally succeeded great accomplishments. People’s houses which served for both public and state under the circumstances of the age were analyzed by benefiting from various sources. In the study, the activities that people’s houses performed from 1932 which is the establishment year of them to 1951 which is the closing year of them and their important role on public education. As a result of the study, it was determined that people’s houses served to a great extent in terms of both democratizing and unifying society and education. But they were condemned to be closed because of its fondness of CHF.
