The literary art for composing chronograms about the construction of several structures (mosque, hotel, hammam) appointments and promotions of statesmen, natural disasters such as flood and earthquake in addition to social and historical events such as birth, death, marriage, war, and peace are important documents due to the fact that they serve as references in social, political and cultural fields in the literature. Nâfi wrote 70 chronograms and showed us his interest and mastership in the field of composing chronograms by not remaining indifferent to the historical, social and cultural events he witnessed due to the location he lived in, during the times in which Ottoman Empire went through a critical period.
