In 1905, socio-political tensions and internal commotion in Russian Empire also brings the situation in the South Caucasus to a sharp point. Social conflicts in other parts of the empire, by promotion of the Armenian nationalist-terrorist organizations such as “Tashnaksutyun” turns into bloody national conflicts in the region. As a result of function military branches of those organizations, civilian Turkish population of the region was exposed to massacres, hundreds of Turkish village is destroyed and razed to the ground. Using special cruelty and ferocity, even the use of mass killing metods against civilian Turkish population by Armenian armed forces is primarily proved by official archival sources and by the press organs of that period.
