Abstract
Quality education is an effective instrument to acquire the knowledge and skills for a quality life. Behaviour in teaching-learning processes is crucially important for it. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of elementary school teachers and students’ behaviour on quality education. 334 supervisors in Istanbul and Ankara were asked for their views. The Quality Learning and Teaching Scale developed by OFSTED was used. The results suggest that the supervisors find teachers and students’ efforts inadequate for quality education. Their views did not change according to the places. Considering the results, it can be concluded that we need an educational environment with students, teachers, supervisors and directors considering teaching and learning processes as a whole and working according to that.
