Abstract :
In this study it was intended to investigate the relationships among learning strategies, locus of control and academic achievement by using structural equation model. Participants were 105 high school students enrolled at high schools in Afyonkarahisar. In this study Learning Strategies Scale and Locus of Control Scale were used. The model demonstrated excellent fit. [(x²=83.25, sd=63, x²/ sd=1.3, RMSEA=0.056, GFI=0.89, AGFI= 0.84, CFI=0.94, NNFI= 0.93)]. According to path analysis results, it has been reported that learning strategies has a significant effect for prediction of academic achievement, whereas locus of control did not. predict learning strategies significantly. Findings were discussed in the light of related literature.
