The Reflections in First Generation of Migrant Literature from “German Bread” by Bekir Yıldız
Abstract :
After the Second World War had finished, man powered deficit emerged in Germany. In order to compensate this vacancy, “The Turkish Manpower Alliance” was signed on the 31st October, 1961 between the state of the republic of Turkey and the state of Germany Federal Republic. Thus, the first legal labor migration started. Thanks to this migration, a new literature type which is called “Migrant Literature” consisted. The study about “Migrant Literature” is relevant with the Turkish people’s first going to Germany, the subject and characteristics of the sixties and seventies “Migrant Literature”, the concerns of the first generations migrants and the factors which cause these situations. The aim of this study is the reveal the first generation migrant’s depression which was reflected to their works and their language problem. The method of Literature review was used on this study. In order to exemplify the depression of the first generation that comes to Germany to work in the sixties and seventies “Bekir Yıldız’s German Bread” will be handled.
