Abstract :
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the success of the music teacher candidates in Musical Hearing Reading Writing courses and state of enrollment in the department (original/auxiliary), type of secondary education, and success of Individual Performance courses (Individual Musical Instruments, Piano, Individual Voice Training).The relational screening model was used in the research. The study group of the research was composed of 43 music teacher candidates who graduated from the Department of Music Education at the Department of Fine Arts Education in Necatibey Faculty of Education in Balıkesir University in 2011 and 2012. In view of research results, it was determined that there was not a significant relationship between the success levels of the music teacher candidates in Musical Hearing Reading Writing courses and type of secondary education and whereas there was a significant relationship between their success of individual performance courses and their state of enrollment in the department of music education with original/auxiliary listing.
