Abstract :
The aim of this study was to compare the achievement differences between the cooperative learning together and the semi-active learning methods in order to teach electric unit in K5. The group of the study was composed of the 52 students in fifth class in secondary school. In research, quasi experimental method was used. Students in cooperative-learning together were divided subgroups. These students worked together and experiments were made by these group. In class applicated semi-active learning program, lessons are manipulated with the demonstration experiments. Both classes are explained ‘’A simple electric circuit (module 1)’’, ‘’Altering a bulb of the shine in a simple electrical units (module 2)’’, ‘’Representing symbol of the elements in a simple electrical circuit and drawing the circuit diagram (module 3)’’, respectively. Level of determination test, model (1,2,3) tests, and academic achievement test was used as data collection instruments. The data obtained from the tests indicated that the the cooperative learning group was more successful than the semi-active learning group.
