Abstract :
The objective of the present study is to review previous studies conducted using robots in education of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Findings of the current study were analyzed with one of the qualitative research methods; document analysis. Conducted research revealed 22 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals between 2008 and 2016. A comparative analysis was conducted on these articles. The participating subjects in the research and their characteristics, target skills, research designs and robot technology applications utilized in the studies, and study findings were comparatively analyzed via detailed analyses. Findings of the present study demonstrated that utilization of robots in education of children with autism had positive results on achievement of several skills by these children.
