Effectiveness of the Guide Materials Based on Elaborate Stage on Students’ Associating Concepts with Daily Life
Abstract :
The aim of this study is to develop a guide material about elaborate stage in transferring concepts to daily life in Matter and Heat unit and to investigate the effects of this guide material on students’ associating concepts with daily life. Semi-experimental research design was used in this study. The sample consisted of 67 sixth grade students. Data obtained from Matter and Heat Unit Daily Life Associating Test. The quantitative data were analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U-Test. At the end of applications, it is determined that prepared guide material made statistically significant difference in experiment group students’ associating concepts with daily life.
