Treatment of Xantogranulomatous Cholecystitis with Cholecystostomy
Abstract :
Xantogranumomatous cholecystitis (XC) is a one of the types of chronic cholecystitis. This rare disease causes nodular or diffuse thickenings on the gall bladder wall. Bile pigments deposits are observed in the wall of the gall bladder. There are many different treatment and diagnostic options has been defined about XC, which is a rare pathology. In this study, we present the intraoperative diagnosis of XC in a patient who had been referred us with a preliminary diagnosis as bile duct carcinoma with the literature data.
