Abstract
Liver metastasis appears in up to one-half of patients with colorectal cancer. Colorectal liver metastases are the most common cause of death in patients with colorectal cancers. Even if there are significant advancements in therapies for colorectal liver metastases, surgery remains the cornerstone of treatment. The indications for surgical treatment have been widened by the technical advances and developments in the systemic treatment options. Unresectable patients can be tailored to resection by multidisciplinary teams that are composed of surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists.
