Abstract :
In this study, it was aimed to put out the effects of 6 different conservation methods on digestibility of nutrients in sheep. The study was conducted using 6x6 Latin Square trials in 6 Ivesi lambs at the age of 6 months and the same weights. Y group ensiled as fresh on the same day of harvesting, Pt group ensiled after wilting 24-48 h on the ground, Pç group ensiled after wilting 24-48 h under a roof, Y+S group, ensiled as fresh by adding straw treated with HCl (fresh material 80% + straw 20%), Kt group dried on the ground and Kç group dried under a roof. The highest digestibility of dry matter, ash, organic matter, crude fiber, crude protein, ether extract and nitrogen free extract was found in Pç group and this was followed by Y+S and Pt groups respectively (P 0.05). The lowest digestibility of nutrients was detected in Kt group (P 0.05).
