Title Of Article :
Three Dimensional Evaluation of Pelvic Cavity in Kangal Dogs by Computerized Tomography
Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to obtain the details of the pelvic cavity using the multiplanar computered tomography (CT) images first time in Kangal dogs. A total of 10 adult Kangal dogs, including 5 males and 5 females, were used in this study Investigation was conducted to reveal biometric directions and diameter-dependent differences in pelvic cavity of the Kangal dogs using three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction using multi-detector computerized tomography (MDCT) images compared to pelvic cavity genders. The images obtained from MDCT were stacked and overlaid to reconstruct the 3D model of the pelvic cavity using 3D modeling software (VITAL, Vitrea 2, HP XW6400 W). Measurements such as conjugate, transverse and vertical diameters of the pelvic cavity and pelvic bending were calculated and statistically analyzed. Biometric differences of pelvic diameters are clearly indicated in Kangal dogs of both sexes. The resulting pelvic diameters with 3D modeling techniques are the result of both contributing to the field of anatomy and subsequent works.
