A case of peromelia of all extremities in a calf

The aim of this case report was to draw attention to the peromelia which occur rarely in calves. Peromelia in a 3 days old Holstein male calf was evaluated clinically in this case. At anamnesis, it was learned that consanguineous mating was made but the exact causes of this congenital anomaly was not determined. Physical examination revealed the congenital absent of radius-ulna, metacarpus, phalanges in both forelimbs and tibia-fibula, metatarsus, phalanges in both hindlimbs. Other abnormalities were not detected during physical examination. In the present case report, peromelia was discussed in a newborn calf.
