Abstract
The natural potential of Turkey, which is in the process of a rapid development, has to be evaluated in the best way. However, the average yield per hive in our country which has a great potential in terms of number of both honey plants and beehives is well below of the world average. Generally, this situation suggests that it has not been practiced in accordance with the technique of beekeeping in the Turkey. The purpose of this article is to present knowledge about the problems encountered during critical periods and maintenance and feeding procedures that should be applied.
