Abstract :
Schwannoma is a myelin sheath tumor that can occur almost anywhere in the body. The most common locations are the central nervous system, extremities, neck, mediastinum, and retroperitoneum. A mass located in the portal hilus was detected in a 25-year-old woman who was admitted with abdominal pain and she underwent surgery. The mass was totally removed. Histopathologic examination revealed benign schwannoma. The patient was observed to be disease free in the one year following the operation.
