Abstract :
This research aims at determining the views on School Experience and Practice Teaching courses held by prospective teachers studying in the English, French, German and Arabic Teaching divisions of the Foreign Languages Education Department in Gazi Faculty of Education of Gazi University. The research group was composed of 181 pre-service teachers taking the School Experience course in the first semester and Practice Teaching course in the second semester in the 2011-2012 academic year. The research uses the Scale of Views for School Experience and Teaching Practice courses, which had been developed by the researcher. It was composed of 29 items. The Cronbach Alpha value was found to be 0.93, for the scale. The KMO coefficient of the scale was .87 while Barlett’s test value was 2839. The SPSS 16.0 package programme was used in the overall data analysis.The conclusions reached in this study demonstrate that the prospective teachers largely agree positively with the items about the gains which the courses mentioned provide them and that the courses achieve their goals and that they are pleased with the application.
