Abstract :
This study aims to investigate the research trends in the studies conducted about the use of interactive white boards between 2008 and 2015. In this respect, scanning the indexes such us YÖK National Thesis Center, ULAKBIM, Google Scholar, Turkish Journal Park, Turkish Educational Index, ASSOS Index, 33 theses and 39 journal article are included in this content analysis study. Specifically, these materials are investigated in terms of the year of publication; the specific topic of the material, the methodology adopted, and the instruments used to collect data, the target population,the journal/university research took place. The results generally indicates the following: there has been a growing trend in the number of studies in 2014-2015; among universities Gazi University is one in which the highest number of studies have conducted; researchers frequently focus on perspectives and evaluation about interactive white boards as, dominantly, qualitative and mixed method studies; concerning the participants, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and teachers mostly constitutes the participants of the studies. It is thought that this study can provide a comprehensive perspective for the further research about interactive white boards.
