Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to investigate problems, reasons, and solutions faced in preparing projects for a project contest. With this aim, semi-constructed interviews were conducted with students, teachers, and principles. Data were analyzed through content analysis. Based on the analyses, problems faced in preparing projects were grouped to the following themes: financially problems, writing of project, finding a project idea, and submitting the project proposal into the system. Reasons of these problems were found to be student motivation, teacher motivation, and lacking of knowledge. Solutions to solve these problems were determined as support of school principle and related units in cities and need induction regarding the project writing. In light of findings obtained,recommendations are made for teachers, educators, administrators and curriculum developers.
