The Meaning of Class in New Social Movements
Abstract :
New social movements rising out of the cultural identity and diversity based organizations has emerged as, which has been different organizations operating out of a class instead of the previous period. Depending on this change, some theories has been put forward claiming that impact of the class had lost and began to disappear. In industrial society, instead of the concept “social class”, “individual life style”, “people choosing different life styles” or “groups asking for recognition”have been ratherly used. Politics production instead of being towards social classes,started to occur in a more fragmented ground. This essay, will focus on the phenomenon of class in social movements and reasons of the class losing impact on new social movements.
