Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to explore how students’ social and academic integration levels and types of engagements with educational settings changed in three years time period between freshman and junior years. This research is designed as a longitudinal study and it included 134 students attending various departments of a state university located in the Marmara Region. The survey developed by Braxton (1998) and adapted by the authors to the Turkish language and culture was employed as a data collection tool. Data collected in two different time period were compared in terms of pre-determined categories by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. According to the findings, there is a significant difference between 1st year and last 3rd year measurements of students in terms of their social and academic integration.
