Abstract
In any textbook it is always possible to see some translated texts from foreign languages: The aim of this study is to examine the quality and quantity of the translated texts located in the Turkish language course books of the 6, 7 and 8th year. We will also try to find answers to the following questions: Are the translated texts sufficient and suitable for pupils? What can be said about the quality of translations in the target language (Turkish)? As we shall see throughout the study, the quantity and the quality of the translated texts are unfortunately insufficient.
