Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine validity and reliability of Turkish version of Sexual Compulsivity Scale, developed by Ballester-Arnal et al. (2013). Data for this research collected from 283 university students. For structure validity of the scale, confirmatory factor analysis was done. The reliability of the scale was examined with internal consistency method. Confirmatory factor analysis provided a good fit to the data (X²= 95.82, DF= 34, RMSEA= .082, GFI= .93, CFI= .96, and SRMR= .04). The internal consistency coefficients of two subscales were found .72 for interference of sexual behavior, .90 for failure to control sexual impulses, and .89 for total scale. In the result of the item analysis, corrected item-total correlations ranged from a low of .35 to a high of .82, and were statistically significant at the p 0.001 level. These results demonstrate that this scale is a valid and reliable instrument.
