Abstract
Several ocular and orbital diseases require surgical interventions that may result in ocular defects. Early intervention for the ocular prostheses provides preserving the required ophthalmic socket size and prevents the further scar tissue contractures that will result from the following surgery. However, immediate fitting of an ophthalmic socket with an artificial eye is not always possible. In these situations neighboring tissues are contracted and depressed. In two, a 12-year-old female and 10-year-old male, patients, who admitted to our department with the complaint of facial disfigurement due to eye loss, their medical history revealed that ocular area and neighboring tissues were enucleated due to tumoral lesion. The adhesive retentive and implant retentive facial prostheses were performed in 12-yearold female and 10-year-old male patients, respectively. The clinical results were satisfactory and long-term results showed a good stability.
