Title Of Article :
Endodontic Treatment of Primary and Permanent Mandibular Molar Teeth with Radix Entomolaris: A Case Report
Abstract :
While the permanent mandibular first molar normally has two roots (one mesial and one distal), an additional root sometimes is found distolingually; this condition is known as radix entomolaris (RE). If present, an awareness and understanding of this unusual root and its root canal morphology can contribute to the successful outcome of root canal treatment. This case report discusses endodontic treatment of permanent mandibular first molars and primary mandibular second molar with a RE, epidemiological and anatomical characteristics of the RE and the clinical consequence of its in root canal therapy.
