Abstract :
The purpose of this article is to consider historical and geographical perspectives of the European codifications model. The several historical meanings of codification and the codification model in national legislations as well as the codification model in European and international legislations are explained in the first part of the article. In the second part, the article enteres into a debate to identify the distiction between unification and integration in the process of codification.
