Abstract
The crime “Voluntary Manslaughter” is set in Turkish Criminal Code under the second chapter “Offenses against Persons” and the first section “Offenses against Life”. The related Article in the recent Turkish Criminal Code differs from the former 765 numbered Turkish Criminal Code with some elements of the crime. If there are ethical reasons in the crime; the crime is considered as an aggravated crime. Additionally, it is firstly arranged that the crime could be conducted due to failure or negligence and the suspect could face higher punishments under these circumstances. In this article, the subject crime is totally examined in general terms.
