The Revelations of the Law on Consumer Protection Numbered 6502 regarding Unjustified Terms

Inspection and identification of unfair terms in Consumer Law is regulated under peculiar headings both in the current Consumer Protection Law No 6502 and the previous Consumer Protection Law No 4077, respectively as article 5 and article 6. When articles in both laws and Regulations on Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts issued by resting upon such articles are compared, we see that there are a number of significant differences in some areas. In order to find out such differences, we analyze the subject in this work by comparing the content of the article 5 in the current CPL and article 6 of the previous CPL. In this way, innovations brought by the new CPL and the relevant Regulation about inspection and identification of unfair terms will be explored.
