Abstract :
Another great poet whose name is mentioned with great personalities like Nesimi, Nizami, Fuzuli, Mirze Feteli Ahundov, the first national poet of Azarbaijan Mirze Elekber Sabir. Sabir who was born in Şamahı city of Azerbaijan in 1862 lived all his life in physical, economical and moral difficulties. In spide of he wrote his poems in classic form at first, he assimilated a modernist poem mentality with the help of “Molla Nasreddin” magazine published by Celil Memmedguluzade. He wrote up almost all social issues in judgmental an homour way. Although he died at his early ages and had a short literary life, he created a new poem mentality to Azerbaijan Turkish literature by bringing these innovations in substances and utterance. Additionally, these innovations weren’t limited in Azerbaijan, they showed their effects on all Turkish world. Sabir is known not only in Turkish world but also in European countries, in America, in İran and in Russia. “Hophopname” was published heaps of times in English, Turkish, Persian, Russian and Armenian with Roman, Arabic and Kiril alphabets in Baku, Moscow, Leningrad, Tebriz, USA and over twenty countries. In this study, information is given with the great poet Sabir’s life, his poems is perused terms of the topic, form and wording. This studies is prepared studies in Azarbaijan and Turkey about Sabir important research. There is no translation in this study not to damage the unison in poem and to present one of the most beautiful example of Azerbaijan literature to Turkish readers. Some of pictures and poems in this study were taken from “Molla Nasreddin” magazines belong to different years, some of them were taken from “Hophopname” which was arranged by Abbas Zamanov and was printed in Baku in 1962.
