Abstract :

It is an undeniable fact that plant and animal names take the top places in forming culture and vocabulary. Animals and plants have always an important position in the life of living being. Considering the researches about the history of civilisation, it is known that the first endeavour of humankind has been animal husbandry, after the animal husbandry the agriculture, namely plants, has come into human life. Thus, it has been commonly encountered that plant and animal naming within the vocabulary of a society.As is known there are vast steppes and great numbers of animal and plant spices living on these moors in Kazakhstan. As is many societies, it will be out of question in Kazakh society as well that considering language and culture separately from animal and plant names. From this point forth, plant names that have a significant place in Kazakh Turkish have been determined by reviewing literature on plant naming.
