Molla Nefes, one of the important figures of 19th century Turkmen poem, is one of the literary characters about whose life too little information is known and upon whom sufficient academic studies have not been done yet especially in Turkey. Doing in-depth research and examination upon him apart from certain information hidden between the lines shall reveal important data not only in establishing his place and importance in Turkmen literature but also in revealing the value of the 19th century general Turkish literature. The present study has appeared and been done so as to introduce this “sultan of the love property” of the Turkmen literature. The studies having been done about the poet and his life have been included into the present study, with reference to the publications of Ashırov and Asker. Other resources reached have also been shown. In the present study, the study of Ashırov and Asker were available. Here the publications shown as out-of-Turkey are not the publications reached but the publications available in the publication of Ashırov. Thus, the information given has been transferred from the publications prepared by us in Azerbaijani Turkish and Turkmen Turkish by taking advantage of the publications of Ashırov and Asker.
