Title Of Article :
RESPECT INDICATING VERB PROTODESCRIPTIF IN OLD UYGHUR TURKISH (ötün-, tegin-, yarlıka-, yükün-)
Abstract :
Compound verbs were frequently used in the works of the Old Uyghur Turkish period. These compound verbs are composed of noun + auxiliary verb or verb + gerund-affix + verb. It is seen that many of the verbs which were confronted as the main verb in the other historical periods of Turkish language are in the auxiliary verb function which contributes to the meaning of the first verbs that were included in the works of the Old Uyghur Turkish period in the establishment of verb + gerund-affix + verb. As well as using the original descriptive verbs in this structure, the verb protodesriptif were also frequently used. In this study, depiction of the compound verbs used in the works of the Old Uyghur Turkish period and descriptive verbs of reverence in these combined verbs will be examined with examples.
