VALUE EDUCATION IN FAKIR BAYKURT’S TALES AND CONTRIBUTION OF HIS TALES TO TURKISH EDUCATION
Abstract :
This study was conducted to analyse Fakir Baykurt’s tales that he wrote for children in terms of value education and to determine whether they contribute to Turkish education. 27 tales included in Fakir Baykurt’s three tales book constituted sample of the study. Qualitative research analysis was used in this study and tales were analysed according to content analysis method. This analysis was done in three ways, which were reading, indexing and classifying the mentioned tales. Tales’ features were determined as values education in accordance with the messages they gave and the study tried to determine tales’ contribution to Turkish education in terms of lexical richness. From the Fakir Baykurt’s analysed tales, it was found out that they could be used for value education and in the process of Turkish education.
