ONE OF THE SULTAN BAYEZID II ERA-POET BEHISTI’S KHAMSE
Abstract :
In this article we deal with khamsa (five epic poems) of Beheshti who was one of the poets of Bayezit II. Firstly we focus on the need about inventory of Turkish manuscripts found in libraries of Turkey, Europe, USA, Russia, Arab lands, Asia, China, India. Following that, we give a look to views of biographical sources about Beheshti’s khamsa. After we clarified that biographical and bibliographical sources did not give the accurate list of the khamsa we shortly introduce mathnawis (romances) of Beheshti.
