Abstract
Mahmut Kaplan who is a distinguished scholar on the Classical Turkish Literature has some poems and short stories which have been published in addition to his academic works. These poems and short stories have meanings beyond the amateur work of a scientist. In this article, one of the short stories named as “Flowers in the Vase” in the short story book of “the Ascend of Aydınbaba” published in 2001 is analyzed.
