MODAL PROPOSAL FOR CHOOSING OF LOGISTIC VILLAGE CENTERS REGARDING REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION AND TRADE
Abstract :
In this study, a model is suggested for freight village location selection in Turkey. The model applied and the results which are presented in tables discussed. For this pupose, the regions which are candidate and can be candidate to be logistic village on tha north - south logistic zone were compared. As a result of the study, in general Mersin, Konya, Bilecik and Eskişehir cities were ahead among others. In logistic functionality, Mersin was found suitable for being international center, the others were found suitable for being local center and well matched with economical and perceptional estimations in the assessments of logistic center.
