Abstract :
In this paper, religious elements used in the depictions of beauty of the beloved will be examined through the Divan of Gevherî. It focuses on how religion is related to art, the female and literature as well as the language of poetry, and there is brief information about Gevherî as well. When God, who points at one single thing with his art and his creation, becomes a subject-matter for the poets, what is manifested is obviously what is experienced and believed.
