Abstract :
Despite its wishful slogans of equality, prosperity and brotherhood, the Bolshevik Revolution cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and it caused many people to leave their homes forever. The most progressive of Turkish intellectuals, a part of a numerous native Turkish population within Russia, had an unfortunate share in this. Mainly these intellectuals continued the fight against the Bolsheviks in Europe, although, after the strengthening of the Soviet Union, they found peace in Turkey. The works and memories written about the Bolshevik Revolution by those intellectuals who emigrated from Russia to Turkey, describe in detail the way the Revolution was realized in Russia. Based upon this information, we can say that in general the events in Russia developed as the Bolsheviks wished, Lenin s persistence brought him fortune, and, in consequence of the Bolshevik revolution, everyone in Russia had to pay a price, in particular the people of Turkish nation.
