    A case with bilateral brachial plexus variation

  • Abstract
    Brachial plexus common underlying pathology in clinical situations due to location of brachial pluxus and the tight relationships with anatomical structures in environment. In our study, during a routine dissection of 55 years old male cadaver several variations were observed in both brachial plexus. On the right side, the superior trunk was not formed and a thick branch rising from the medial trunk was contributing to the formation of the medial fascicle while on the left side, superior trunk and lateral fascicle were not formed and a branch from the medial trunk was contributing to the medial and lateral root of the median nerve, one for each root. The aim of this study was to define the types of the anatomical variations and their shape of formation. In this study, was to define the types of the anatomical variations and their shape of formation.
