Abstract :
Intussusception is a rare clinical picture among adults, characterized by invagination of the proximal segment of the intestine into the distal segment. Usually, there are underlying triggering lesions, and inflammatory fibroid polyps are one of these. Intussusception is characterized with clinical symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and abdominal distension. Nonspecific clinical symptoms can sometimes make diagnosis difficult.Computerized Tomography is the best imaging method. We present a-67-year-old female patient with intussusception triggered by an inflammatory fibroid polyp.
