Abstract :
Mesh erosion is a rare complication of the transobturator tape (TOT) procedure. Mesh erosion can be treated with topical estrogen therapy if it is seen in a small area, however excision of the mesh is necessary when the erosion is larger or if any infection is present. In this case, we report a patient who had mesh erosion after the TOT procedure. Her treatment consisted of surgical excision of the mesh and primary closure of the wound after adequate debridement.
