Turan-Iran Concepts and Historical Geography in the Light of the Classical and Modern Sources
Abstract :
Turan and Iran or Pers concepts are generally known as the name of two nations. But, it is a delusion. When we examine this subject, we see that Turan and Iran concepts are the name of two differant geographies. And also they are the names of te two differant country. There are a close cultur, language, religion and tradations and also people who have got these facilities lived in these geographies. Turan is a geography that Turks and people who are relatives of Turks lived on it and it is between İran and China and even it take Horasan. Iran is the name of the lands that Aryen people lived on it and it is between Turan and Mesopotamia. Usually we know Iran as Farce and Turan as Turks. But with this short study, we learned that it isn’t like this and these two concepts have wide and comprehensive meanings.
