Abstract :
Also Izmir included in the discussion on the future of Western Anatolia, began while continuing World War I. Italy and Greece wanted to dominate the region. After the war, the competition between the two countries continued in the Paris Peace Conference. In the Paris Peace Conference, Britain, the United States and France have supported Greece and they let Greek troop’s invasion of Izmir. In Anatolia, starting with the Greek occupation of Izmir on 15 May 1919 expands in a short time. Manisa was occupied by Greek troops. Greeks followed hard and brutal occupation policy in Manisa. They persecution ring invaders, killed, plundered and they exiled. Italians, Greeks competitors have closely followed the occupation of Anatolia to perceive as. Military and civilians authorities in Izmir sent to Rome many reports on Greek occupation in the region. Feature of this report is to personally observations of the Italian authorities or rely on their own resources. Reports sent by the Italian authorities, many incidents in Turkish sources have confirmed. These reports are kept at the Italian Foreign Ministry Diplomatic History Archives and the Military Archive. In this article, we will examine the Greek occupation in Manisa and around according to the Italian documents.
