Abstract :
The dimensions of the soil erosion and resulting damages differ depending on the region. Although, the methods of protection from the erosion universally known, but they can not be applied sufficiently. In this study, basic determining factors of erosion were investigated in two representative regions; one having a low erosion rate and the other having high erosion rate. The estimation of erosion was done by Universal soil loss equation (USLE). The results indicated that Central Anatolia lands are very susceptible to soil erosion and this result was verified by the K factor and universal soil loss equation.
