Abstract :
The aim of this study is to evaluate soil chemical quality with factor and geoistatsitic analysis methods in Vertisol areas located on Bafra Delta Plain. 14 chemical soil properties that belong to two different soil depths were used in data set. It was found that pH for 0-30 cm depth and Zn for 30-60 cm depth were excluded for factor analysis. While determined 5 factors were explained with 86.16 % total variance in 0-30 cm depth, Factor 1 showed the highest variation factor with 20.77 %. In addition, determined 5 factors in 30-60 cm depth were explained with 77.77 % of total variance whereas, Factor 1 that explains the highest variation showed 21.70 % of total variation. Kriging maps have important role to take some managements for sustainability of soil quality. Consequently, the results show that factor and geoistatistic methods can be successfully used together for soil quality studies.
