Title Of Article :
Effects of different potassium doses on the pollen quality and production level in Jerseymac and Golden Delicious apples
Abstract :
This study was conducted in Jerseymac and Golden Delicious varieties on M9 rootstock that had 4 years old in Eğirdir (Isparta). Different potassium doses (0,50,100 and 150 g/tree) with nitrogen and phosphorus to be fixed duration applied 4 years. Samples taken before the flowers open (balloon period) were tested invitro conditions for the determination of viability, germination ability and pollen production level, anther number and morphological homogenity. According to the result, potassium applications increased pollen viability, pollen production and germination rate and the highest values were obtained 50 g and 100 g K2O/tree.
