Abstract
This study has been carried out to put forward some general characteristics of vineyard enterprises and agricultural practices in Sarıgöl, Manisa, where Sultana seedless grape is widely grown. The data of the survey, which was conducted in 129 vineyard enterprises defined through the use of the finite population proportional sample size method, have been evaluated by arithmetic averages and percentage calculations. According to the findings of the study, the majority of farmers is over 41 years of age and has a low level of education. Viticulture is done as a family business in the region. The majority of vineyards are old enough to make economic yield, and all have high cordon training system. A large proportion of producers have been observed to have soil analysis while a low proportion have been found to have plant analysis. In general, commercial fertilizers are used every year. The rate of farm manure use is high, while green manure rate is low. Pesticide and hormone are overused in the region.
