Abstract :
In this study study, some phenological and pomological characteristics of apple cultivar/ rootctock combinations (Golden Delicious, Mondial Gala, Summer Red, Vista Bella, William’s Pride/ MM106; Fuji, Summer Red/ M7; Golden Delicious, Pink Lady/ M9) in orchards of Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture during 2010-2011, were investigated. As the result of this study, it was detected that, phenology of different combinations was differed between two years, and two weeks later on the second year when compared to first year because of cooler climate of the second year. Fuji and Pink Lady cultivars that have late harvest dates, were compulsorily harvested at the beginning of October latest, because of early autumn frosts. According to the results, it can be said that, early harvested summer cultivars (William’s Pride, Summer Red, Mondial Gala, Golden Delicious, Vista Bella) are adaptable to Eskisehir ecological conditions.
